July 14, 2009 Public Hearing

The Perkins Township Trustees, working with the administrators of the Police, Fire, and Highway Departments, have complied the 2010 Proposed Appropriations to be presented at a public hearing on July 14, 2009.

Public Hearing A public hearing will be held Tuesday, July 14, 2009, after 6:00 pm for all interested citizens of Perkins Township to discuss the proposed budget for the fiscal year 2010. The hearing will be held at the Township Complex, 5420 Milan Road, Sandusky, Ohio. The tentative budget may be examined by calling the Office of the Fiscal Officer at 419-626-2457 #5 for an appointment. The adopted budget for fiscal year 2010 will be available for public inspection during normal office hours Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm and is available on our website at www.perkinstownshipohio.com . All interested citizens will have the opportunity to give written or oral comments. Senior citizens and handicapped persons are encouraged to attend and comment. Senior citizens and handicapped individuals needing transportation, assistance, or aids should contact the office before the hearing.

Each year the Proposed Appropriations (click on the link to view full document) are presented to the residents of the Township and to the Erie County Budget Commission to show the need for the taxes dollars allocated to the Township. In August the Budget Commission will certify the amount of estimate funds available to the Township. The funds are a combination of taxes dollars, other income estimated to be received by the Township, and rollover funds from 2009. Rollover funds are those amounts not already committed for specific purchases or expenses. Once the amounts of rollover funds are determined, the Trustees will adopt the actual Appropriations for 2010, no later than March 31st.

Resurfacing Bids

Perkins Township will be taking bids for resurfacing of E. Strub Road, from Milan Road to Perkins Avenue, and the streets in Ferry Subdivision. Further information can be found in the Notice to Bidders. Please refer to the notice for further information.
