On Tuesday April 5, 2011, the Perkins Township Trustees held a 'town hall' type meeting in the Perkins High School cafeteria. This meeting was an informational meeting that provided an exchange of ideas on how best to address the issue of recycling in Perkins Township. As a result of that meeting, the Recycling Committee made a recommendation to the Perkins Township Board of Trustees.

At the Regular Meeting of April 12, 2011, the Perkins Township Trustees passed Resolution #2011-0054 to accept the recommendation from the Perkins Township Recycling Committee on recycling in Perkins Township.
